Moved into our house six weeks ago and although I like the fridge there are a few things I would change to make it more user friendly: add more choices for shelf positions in the fridge and on the door; increase the size of the lip on the butter door so it's easier to grab and lift; and add an option for larger ice cubes.

I purchased this after my Kenmore Elite French door and bottom freezer started making loud sounds. It was over ten years old and decided to replace it. I comparison shopped at over 5 stores and decided to buy the Frigidaire Gallery stainless steel side by side with water and ice dispenser on the door at a scratch and dent appliance store. Saved about 300 dollars. I love the Frigidaire since it was counter depth and had approximately 22 cu ft of space. Very convenient water and ice dispenser that actually dispense ice cubes not ice blocks. This is a good model for the price.

This unit replaced a KitchenAid side by side counter depth unit that was in need of significant repairs. I purchased from Warner Stallion, where we did business for many years and was mostly done as an on line buy. This means my wife nor I actually saw the fridge in person before the purchase. I compared the specs and prices and made a decision to purchase. We had some issues with the installation, for which I will hold the seller responsible. Let's just say they could have done a better job.The first thing I noticed was how noisy it was when running. With the previous two Kitchen Aid units, the only time you heard anything was when the ice dispenser was dumping ice into the bin, or refilling with water. While on the subject of water, it is disappointing the water is not chilled as it was on the Kitchen Aid units. I suppose to save a few bucks? It is unfortunate you cannot get a glass of cold water without dispensing ice first.After about two months of use, it stopped making ice, so I checked the owners manual for a possible solution. The obvious fixes were, well obvious and not at all helpful. So, I took the empty ice bin out and made sure it wasn't stuck (it wasn't) and given the late hour, I decided to call the provided 800 number the folloing morning. After another couple hours passed and before I went to bed, I checked the ice bin again and it was completely empty.The following morning, I checked once again and found some ice in the bottom of the bin so I decided to wait a while before making the call. My home office is right around the corner from the kitchen, so I could hear ice dropping into the tray and refilling with water every couple hours or so. It was making ice again, but why did it stop previously? It was late afternoon, so I decided to call the 800 number and see what might be suggested. I spoke to Nix, and after explaining my situation, she suggested sending a tech out to see if there was something wrong. This was Tuesday afternoon, 27 August, and the tech, James, actually arrived shortly after Noon on Thursday. 29 August. He actually disn't do anything except suggest there might have been an air gap in the water line as the culprit. He did not run any diagnostic test to see if there was anything else at fault. As I recall, he was at my home less than 20 minutes.The Frigidaire looks nice and fits the space as it should. My wife likes the clear bins inside the refrigerator and freezer bacause it is easier to see the contents. Happy wife is a good thing, huh? I just hope we don't have nay more ice dispenser issues.

My refrigerator was delivered with a broken ice dispenser on August 21, 2024. I didn't notice until the 3rd day because I work 12-hr shifts and the delivery guy already told me to wait for the fridge to cool. For the first half of a day, my food was in my old fridge in my garage. To my disappointment, I could no longer return the unit for a different model, which is what I preferred. I did not want to have a technician coming to my house for years to fix an ice dispenser and possibly have issues with a control board in the future. Lowe's lied to me about being able to override the return policy and everyone I called told me they couldn't help. I finally had to use the manufacturer warranty to set a repair up. During that time, after registering the new fridge, I purchased a new filter. I just received the new filter from Frigidaire, which came in a damaged box. Not sure if it will even work when we use it.

After removing a massive unit I really like the small counter depth design of this fridge. Only disappointment is the water dispensed is not chilled, only filtered but so far the ice maker is keeping up! Have had the shelf trim fall off and a door sticking that needs to be evaluated. This is not the unit for a family, but it™™s great for tight spaces. Have had it for a few weeks now.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I purchased an appliance and during this time, it stopped working with a high temp warning. I™™ve spoken back and forth with fridgidaire and Electrolux regarding my fridge while still under warranty and after several repeated service calls it was deemed irreparable. I spoke with customer service and have been calling for months. It is now September and the issue has stemmed from June. The ™best™ method to try and attempt a replacement was a 40% off rebate for the same fridge or lesser value which is laughable because the fridge is now long gone after months of going back and forth. I will never purchase another fridge from this company ever again. Be forewarned to never purchase extended warranties for appliances as they will not attempt to compensate you if something does go wrong. Fridgidaires appliances are terrible and their customer service is based out in another country with people who do not think outside of the box for those with situations that are not text book related. I bought a fridge for less than a year of use and was unable to recoup my funds when it went out during manufacturers warranty. Do not purchase with this company.

A great find for a quick fix

Another well known fridge with questionable compressors went south at a most inopertune time. The repair was to cost a bit over a grand. I went in to a nearby appliance store and the Frigidaire line up was impressive. I bout a slightly smaller unit ( the kids are all gone!) and it looks great, is quiet, gives a bit more space before the island countertop, and was delivered within 2 days. Its got good storage and replenishes ice quickly. I'm very glad they carried the Fridgidaire line.

This fridge broke in UNDER a year. The ice maker only puts out crushed ice even if it is on cubed. It goes into modes where we cannot put any buttons and we have to unplug it. Awful. Been under a year. It keeps changing the temperature low and adding a freeze boost when no buttons have been pushed. DO NOT BUY

This refrigerator turned out great for our new house. I should mention this is the third one we had delivered. The first malfunctioned and froze everything in the fridge side. We called Lowe's, who we purchased it from, and they graciously allowed us to swap it with a replacement even though the 48 hour window had passed (we had it delivered a couple of days before actually moving in and loading our food into it). The second one delivered had a large gouge in the front of the door that appeared to be from the factory (box was undamaged). But the third... That one has worked great for the last month, so we're happy with it! Might need to address some quality control issues though
