Expensive with Very Short Life

Product worked for first summer. Fan and panel are fine but it did not collect water the second summer. No solution found. Unfortunately it was 3 days out of warranty. An expensive product with a very short life!

I bought one last year at ABT 1 year and 1 month.later I turned it on and the fan ran but not the compressor. I went back to ABT bought another with an extended warranty So the first one ran for about three and a half months. ABT sold me the second one at cost and a three year warranty for $38. Should have bought an extended.warranty the first time.

Unit Fails

Purchased unit 6/2022 based on great reviews. Unfortunately, unit failed in less than 1 year. Warrantee folks were great in providing Good Will Certificate to purchase new unit. I then purchase new unit on Haier Website which provided an additional 1 year warrantee. Hopefully that new unit will last at least beyond the 2 year combined warrantee period.

The BEST Dehumidifier!!! No More Smelly Basement

I've had this product for about 8 months and it has made the biggest difference in my basement. It has eliminated the mildewy smell completley while taking all the extra unneccessary consdensation out in the air. I would recommend cleaning out the tank every 3 months to keep it clean. There is a filter light that notifies you when the filter needs to be cleaned and an alarm that goes off when the tank needs to be emptied. Overall I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a dehumidifier,

Haier 50L dehumidifier

This is my second Haier dehumidifier, the first lasted less than a year. Ice would build up, auto defrost didn't work, couldn't lower the humidity level. I contacted GE customer support and they gave me credit for replacement as long as it was another GE brand. I'm taking a chance and hoping this second lasts longer. When it worked, it was good, but didn't last long. 3 stars for the first dehumidifier, on a positive note, the lady from customer service was helpful but I forgot her name. And, in case someone from GE actually reads these reviews my case id was 10110585.

Purchased this unit August 2022 and it worked great - removed a lot of moisture from my basement- until it quit working April 2023. It™€™s a very good unit, but GE does not honor its warranty as stated, so buyer beware. The warranty states it will be repaired or replaced or a refund of the full purchase price will be given, but what I received was a ™€œGood will Rebate™€ form, forcing me to buy another GE product and then get a reimbursement check in 8 weeks. So essentially a ™€œGE company credit™€ not a refund. It™€™s unfortunate that this historically excellent company has sunken to such bate and switch practices. Apparently they have such low confidence in the quality of their products that they have to force customers to buy them, instead of a competitor™€™s product.

This is my second Haier dehumidifier. First purchase was a 35 pint and it lasted 5 yrs of almost continuous usage. It did a fantastic job of keeping my Florida apt moisture and mold free! I made an upgrade to the 50 pint as I've moved into a much larger apt and know I can depend on a Haier dehumidifier to keep my apt and its contents moisture and mold free! It's so quiet and runs very efficiently. I'm very pleased with my Haier 50 pint purchase!

Just powered up a new 50 pint Haier and it is remarkable how much more water it pulls out of the same room as the old unit it has replaced. The variable speed fan works as advertised, tapering off as the ambient conditions dry out. I guess these units deteriorate, but I am hoping I get more than a few years out of this one. Earlier dehumidifiers from the 1980s had lasted more than 20 years in nearly continuous duty here, same location, same conditions.

This 5 star dehumidifier is a workhorse! I had one like this in my basement in VT and gave it away when I moved. Even though I no longer have a basement, my new home needed a dehumidifier here in the south. This is very efficient, has several settings and is not too noisy. Definitely worth the money. Easy for a 60 y.o. woman to move around the house. I don't remember my other one putting out so much heat. I love this appliance!

Fairly quiet and really pulls the humidity out of the air. It has been pretty humid and I am emptying no less than two times per day (water the plants and use in my washing machine). Just cleaned the filter for the first time this am. Hopefully I am still as pleased in a couple of years. We usually go through these about every 3-4 years.

We purchased the large dehumidifier (4500sq ft) or so with the 15 pint tank. We live in Alabama and it™€™s Summer. To my amazement, we empty the 15 pint container twice a day and dropped the humidity from 70% to 50% in the house. It™€™s quiet. So far we™€™ve had it for 3 weeks. We use the water for my wife™€™s potted plants because it doesn™€™t have chemicals.

This unit is a workhorse. The controls are nice and simple, but provide the necessary options. Noise is relative to the fan speed setting, but completely reasonable. I use it in my basement, with the discharge hose into my HVAC condensate pump, and only have to think about it once in a while to check/clean the intake filter.
