Poorly designed snack shelf.

I do like the refrigerator except the poorly designed snack drawer. I had to remove the snack drawer because if you put a few things in it the drawer falls down on top of the shelf under it. I did report this to the number listed in my owners booklet and a service man was sent out. The service man looked over the situation and he was unable to resolve it. It seems to be a design flaw and if I had known about this problem I would not have bought this refrigerator.

THE SNACK DRAW CONTINUOUSLY FALLS OFF ITS GUIDES. THE DRAW IS NOT WIDE ENOUGH TO STAY IN THE TRACKS. I HAD TO PUT SHIMS BETWEEN THE FRIGE WALL AND THE GUIDESTHE DRAW GUIDES SO IT WONT FALL OUT. I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW THIS CAN BE,,

The airflow, cooling, crisping, ice production, and temperature are all fine. The only reason that I did not give it a 5 is that it is a bit noisy. I believe it is the ice maker feature that is noisy, not the fridge motor itself,

Bad customer service to provide warranty details

Looks like a decent refrigerator, however you need a 36" opening to allow the door to fully open. Otherwise the corner of the door will not allow you to open the drawers fully. Difficult to get items in and out of the drawers. The other thing is that the company will not provide a copy of the warranty, they just keep trying to sell you more extended warranties and won't tell you what the standard warranty includes.

broken freezer light shield when delivered,company ordering a new one. also drawer below the top shelf in frig keeps falling down , tech is comming out to inspect the problem monday 8/31' . Onlyi hade the refrigerator a week.so far working very well.

Really bad quality inside, would not buy another.

First off let me say I am not anti Maytag in any way, in fact I have owned many over the years and generally have had great luck with them. This particular model however is really bad. I think the things that matter are probably great, it cools well and I'm sure the compressor is a good quality hence the 10-year warranty. The craftsmanship of the shell itself is terrible. Cheap plastic interior that breaks easily and does not fit properly. I saw reviews relating to this issue but ordered one anyway. One bottle of water in the snack tray and it would not hold even that. It delivered with a broken freezer light fixture that could not be repaired. The ice maker was also broken but that was a separate issue. The retailer was great throughout the issue, but I ended up going with a GE instead, as I said previously there were quite a few reviews commenting on the poor quality interior. Whoever approved the final quality of that interior should be fired, or whoever overruled their concerns should go away. This refrigerator should not have been released as it is.

Great product that is long lasting

I bought our first Maytag refrigerator in 1976. Including this one We have only owned 4 in the last 50 years! Maytag has consistently been our appliance of choice for that reason. None of those refrigerators were replaced because they had broken down but rather because a larger appliance was needed. Two of the three continued in service as a second fridge in the garage. The third was still working but no longer needed when it was removed. Maytag has always been a great product. The new fridge is exceptional in keeping the correct temperature thru-out it and the freezer with a ton of ice cubes always available It's easy to set and adjust and like its predecessors will give us many years of service. Thank you
