I've tolerated this oven for 8 months and it has failed performance, heating, now it has a white powdery residue inside of it, the door makes too much noise when you open and close it, on low (170°) it still burns your food up, the burners on low also burn up your food, the rubber lining around the door is coming off. I can't take it anymore!

I bought this to replace an older model whirlpool range that was over fifteen years old. I love the new design of the burners. the placement avoids the larger pots colliding on the surface when cooking. The alarm sounds are much quieter than the older one and this one doesn't have the light button indicator when the surface has cooled. However, it does have a neon red lighted notice to let you know the status of mthe cooktop such as if it is on or hot. I haven't had it very long, but so far I am enjoying it greatly.

The no pre-heat mode was a big selling feature for me, but I don't find myself using it much. It does work pretty well though when used. The thing I don't like about this oven is how loose the bottom heating coil is. It's held by two screws in the back and that's it. It moves all the time and I don't like how flimsy that seems. This is a very sleek looking appliance.

The oven was delivered damaged. It was not damaged in transport. It looks like a manufacturers defect. Something is wrong with the hinges on the door and it is causing loud popping noise. I called whirlpool with the delivery team still in my yard. I was passed around through 5 different people who didn't know what to do. I spent a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes on the phone and finally got told someone would call me back. Here we are 2 weeks later, no call back and my stove is still broken. DO NOT BUY!!

Very poorly designed range

So sorry we bought this range. First, the burners don't make sense. There are two large and two small, and both large ones are in front ~ which means every time we boil a large pot of pasta, we have to bend over it to stir the sauce that is simmering in a small pan. Who designed that??? Second, the control panel is exasperating. Somebody decided to put a "Are you sure you want to do that?" button that you have to select everytime you change the oven temperature. So if you start at 450 and then change to 350 midway through cooking, you have to tap the "Are you sure you meant to do that?" button. If you don't, it waits a few seconds, and says "Oh well, I guess you didn't actually mean that" ~ and keeps on baking at 450, ruining your lovely dinner. Again, who thought that was a good idea? I'm changing the oven temperature, for gosh sakes! It's not like I'm erasing my hard drive! Why else would I have tapped the temp control 10 times? Finally, this evening something went drastically wrong with the baking, causing the oven to shut down, and display two error codes: E1 and F6. I got out the manual, found the "Troubleshooting" section, and looked under "Error code." It said to look under "Control Display" on page 9. I looked there, and the only thing listed is that useless fact that when the power is off the display will clear. What??? So I went to the web site, looked up our model number ~ and according to Whirlpool there is no E1 error code. Thanks. Thanks a lot. To summarize: Very disappointed in this range.

Bought this model to replace similar Whirlpool range. Cooking functions well. The 1 complaint I have is the volume on the cooking timer is very low. I would like to know if there is a way to increase volume. It is so low I have to stand right next to the stove to hear timer to go off. With previous model I could hear the timer from another room.

I have had my new range about a month, after having owned a GE Hot point range for over 20 years. The quality of the new range is very disappointing. The cooktop is thin and I already have scratches despite being very careful The oven shelves are flimsy and the temperature after pre heating does not register the same as the oven thermometer. It takes another 10 minutes to get to desired temperature. I just hope that the shelve will hold my 18 pound turkey and not collapse from the weight. I pad $630 and now see it on Whirlpool's website for $570, which is about what it is worth. I regret not purchasing a higher end model and wish that I could trade this one in. As the saying goes, they just don't make appliances the way they used to. This range will not live as long as my past one, which in a way will be a good thing, as I might go crazy having to deal with this one.

This range works exactly as I thought it would. I like the dual burners on the front. Oven has baked evenly. I'm just not used to the upkeep to keep the stovetop clean. I had a little boil over. That means baking soda, dishwashing detergent, and other items to get it clean again. I know other manufacturers have the same setup as Whirlpool. I'm just not used to it....yet.

Have had for about a week. Oven heats well. Did not come with instructions for how to use the buttons/timers/etc, just to install and clean. Glass top does not seem to come clean well at all. States to clean with water which doesn't help. There's constantly marks left on it and it just looks bad. Also annoyed that they put tape on the cook top surface so there is residue left from that as well as on the storage drawer.

I bought it 2 months ago to replace the whirlpool that I had for 20 years. The oven door feels flimsy. The bottom drawer is no longer as big. My pizza pan no longer can lay flat. The control knobs are black on black so it is hard to tell what temp it is on or off. It tells you the cooktop is hot but not which burner.

Very disappointed with this purchase. NO manual or guide to use to help me learn how to use the features of the oven. No or very little customer support when I try to call Whirlpool. The first oven that was delivered had a defective door and I had to wait for another new oven to be delivered. The cooktop is difficult to clean.

I've only had the stove for a short time and I'm not really impressed with the stove. The stove is definitely cheaply made.The burners run hotter than my last stove and the oven isn't temperature isn't accurate. In time I will learn to adjust. My cooking and baking. You get what you pay for definitely applies to this stove.

I purchased this Whirlpool range as a replacement for an older, coil-burner version. If you are doing the same, please note that the glass top is slick and that pans slide all over the place! Be sure to hold onto pan handles when stirring (something I did not find necessary with the coils). The "dual element" burners take some getting used to and, in my experience, it takes MUCH longer to bring a pot of water to a boil on the glass top vs. coils. I selected the Whirlpool brand as I found my previous oven baked well. The new oven seems to do the same. The broiler did not function with several attempts and, finally, after I called for repair, started working properly. The user information is generic, and not specific to this model and that caused some confusion--especially since I discovered that one piece of it was not included with the product. Note that this oven is NOT self-cleaning. I assumed that was standard these days so that was my mistake. However, that won't work for me and I will be exchanging the range for a model that has that feature.
