We have had our new Refrigerator 3 months and our Icemaker stopped making ice after the 15 day window for returning the appliance. We replaced it under warranty and it is making soft cubes and flooding the shelving on the door under the icemaker after 24 hours. I love my Bosch Dishwasher but will not ever purchase another refrigerator!

Less than a year and a half of ownership...

...and there are problems with either a motor or the board. Note: I got the refrigerator, a higher series dishwasher and the highest series oven. The dishwasher didn't work on day 1 and had to be replaced immediately, which took weeks. The fact that I have a failing freezer in less than 1.5 years - after having a cheap refrigerator that worked for over 20 years - is just completely unacceptable. Not to mention, this level of appliance only having a 1 year warranty is absolute nonsense. I am still paying off my kitchen suite but now need to spend hundreds on service. Bosch has lost me for life.

Beautiful Heavy Duty Refrigerator

This is our first Bosch after our other refrigerator rusted out the back after 12 years. It takes a few minutes to start when first plugged in but it is so QUIET! You can feel the quality in the steel drain and heaviness of the shelving compared to the plastic of the old fridge. Definitely a quality machine.

This unit just got setup today with water-line hookup and Bosh 800 diswasher full-install in two days. It's a beautiful visual statement to our newly remodeled kitchen. We had a horrible experience with an expensive 4 door refrigerator made by S------g. It quit cooling 2 weeks after 5 year warranty expired. 4 weeks & 3 repair people later, we learned they no longer have replacement parts needed. Planned obsolescence at its worse. This time we researched brands recommended by Consumer Reports. This Bosch 100 had the highest rating for French Door models. We just had it installed so time will tell. Runs quietly. Cooling quickly. So far, so good!

We purchased our condo 5 years ago and at that time they were 5 years old. The kitchen appliances were GE. And the first thing to go was the dishwasher. Loud noisey and it didn't clean very well. We replaced that GE with a super quiet Bosch dishwasher and we are amazed at well it washes our dishes. Well the refrigerator died. Yes the GE. 10 years and shot. No question about it but we shopped for our new fridge and we are pleased to say it arrived today. Super happy.

Bosch refrigerator icemakers

This Bosch 100 Series refrigerator I have now replaced a Bosch 100 Series refrigerator we had purchased in December of 2024. The icemaker on that original Bosh refrigerator failed after 3 months. The dealer's repair service could not get parts for the icemaker. After several months with no icemaker, Bosch agreed to replace the entire refrigerator with the same model. The icemaker in the new refrigerator failed after 3 months. The dealer was able to replace the entire icemaker unit. That icemaker ran for 7 months and has now stopped making ice. Bosch refrigerators would be nice appliances if they had any reliability, but under the current circumstances I could not recommend them to anyone.

I am really enjoying my Bosch refrigerator. It looks good, I appreciate the flexible shelves and storage. I would have rated it a 5, but the right door does not close fully 80% of the time, but the alarm doesn't go off. I have found it open repeatedly. I have been trying to be diligent about making sure it is fully closed but others are not as diligent!

100 series BOSCH refrigerator

This refrigerator has had nothing but problems. The ice maker despenses water to make ice when the cups are full. Water which turns to ice builts up under the draw to the point we can't pull it out. We had a service company come out in August 2025 and it took 2 monthes to get the repair parts, a computer board and new ice maker. That didn't fix the problem so the service company came out in January 2026 only to find out we need another SSM board part # 10037893. It is coming up on another 2 monthes for the part. I have called customer service every two weeks to find out where the part is and they say it is on the way. Do not buy Bosch. This was our first and it will be our last time ever buying Bosch. We even had ice start despensing on its own one night all over the kitchen floor. Then the water dispenser started to dispense without activating it. Had to unplug the refrigerator to get it to stop. Buyer beware!!!!

Nice refrigerator as long as you don't use the crushed ice feature. Crushed ice chips hang up in the ice maker and slowly melt, then drip into the door tray inside the refrigerator. Technician came out, contacted Bosch and was basically told it's a design flaw.

Right hand door does not close properly

The right-hand door of the frig does not effectively close. The door closes enough for the light to go out, but does not shut fully. Worst, the door alarm does not sound in this situation -- the door will stay ajar without alarm until homeowner notices. The Bosch warranty repairperson just left my house. He concurred that the door was not operating as it should. However, after inspection and conferring with Bosch tech support, I was advised that the frig was intentionally designed in this manner. The frig is aesthetically pleasing and has plenty of space. BUT For such a high quality and expensive brand -- a frig door that does not fully shut automatically and without an alarm is a serious design flaw.

Enjoying how fresh it keeps food

Like this fridge very much. It's my first time having a freezer on the bottom. I noticed that the quality of the Bosch freezer drawer was so much sturdier than other brands that I looked at. I love the inverted handles too. It's a much neater look. We also like that we can set the water to fill to the size of our container and not worry about it overflowing if we walk away & leave it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because often times the right had door gets accidentally left open just enought that the alarm doesn't go off.

Brand New Refrigerator - Pleased so far

Just took delivery of a Bosch 100 series refrigerator to replace my Samsung one. I needed a fridge 70" height or less, so that ruled out the 800 series (I also didn't like the fact that 800 series is counter width and so has less capacity than a standard size fridge). So the options boiled down to 500 series or 100 series. The 500 series was double the price of the 100 series - I couldn't find any major differences between the two other than faster icemaker and nicer looking crisper - both of which were not worth the incremental cost for me. The new fridge has plenty of space and good interior lighting. It's a little bigger than my previous 70" Samsung (little fatter for same height) - but the storage is awesome. Build quality looks great. The delivery guy did a good job and pulled out the plastic wrapper from the front as part of installation and the fridge looked great. Wife is happy. Will provide an update on long term reliability. So far everything is great - I do hear the fridge noise so it's not as quiet as I would like (but perhaps it's no more than the previous one).

I love everything about this fridge except one thing-fingerprints that I am not sure how to avoid. I didn't think I needed the water & ice dispensers but boy do I love them! I'm drinking lots more water everyday! I love all the room inside also!

My new Bosch refrigerator

I have had a Bosch dishwasher for years and love it. So when I decided to buy a new refrigerator I looked at the Bosch. I loved it. The double French doors and bottom freezer wher I actually can find things!! 4 months in my icemaker froze up. Bosch recommended service found I needed a new machine due to a part malfunction. A month later the new icemaker was installed. After 5 days there was no ice being made. Returns the repair man. Now a new "mother board" needed. Parts are being order.....again! I am not happy.

Extremely disappointed in Bosch

We bought the refrigerator over a month ago and everything worked for a few weeks. Then the ice machine stopped working. We called your 800 number and they sent a repairman who said that the problem was software and we needed to get Home Connect so update data could be sent. We sought help from your customer service desk who were rude and condescending. We got the APP and turned it on but Ice machine still does not work. We would like a refund and to return the machine to you at no cost to us. Ironically we bought your refrigerator because we thought the quality would be very good. It has not been good and your customer service is worse.

Great Refrigerator/Customer Service poor

I'll start this by saying I love my Bosch refrigerator. That being said, I had a problem with my refrigerator. When I contacted Bosch for red resolution each contact took five days. I wrote them five days later they wrote back. I wrote them five days later they wrote back. When I called every single time, my call got dropped the first time, then I waited on hold for 40 to 45 minutes. I had no working refrigerator in my house for 10 weeks before it was replaced under warranty. the replacement went very smoothly and I'm very happy with my product. I can't say I would ever buy another Bosch appliance because of the customer service.
