Perhaps worst washing machine owned in 32 years

The machines large capacity runs poorly with only a medium load or less. For example with two beach towels loaded four pairs of shorts and one bath towel the estimated run time of 63 minutes can take roughly 148 minutes. This is typical of my experience. After spin begins with perhaps 27 minutes on the digital time indicator it runs a few minutes and then refills with water and begins all over again. It is even worse with small loads. I paid a certified LG appliance repair service to check the machine and was told nothing was wrong with it. Further cleaning capability has been only fair.

Ive had this machine for a year. It never fails to disappoint. Clothes come out with dry patches on them. I have resorted to using the deep fill max option for every load and still get dry spots. LG used to be my go to company for appliances but now I am in search of an old washer at an estate sale to replace this disappointing waste of money.

Water level on Normal wash does not even get some garments wet all over Have to use the Deep Wash or Bedding cycles in order to get clothes clean. HE LEAVES A LOT TO BE DESIRED The machine is nice and quiet.

My apartment has this washer. It wont allow water level change for small loads will not allow soaking of clothes BUT drains the soaking water within minutes wasting water soap. Also clothes float bubbled up on surface since items do not circulate within washer at all creating unclean zones on items. Front loaders are much better than this model. Tub is so deep cannot reach small items on bottom. I have to lean in using step stool and tongs

The hardware itself is perfect. The only thing better is a speed queen at half the size. I wanted one with an agitator in the center and this fit the bill. And it cleans like an agitator should. It works very well. This unit does everything a washer should do but among LGs line of products- theyve begun linking your warranty and extended warranty to the ThinQ application- which only has customer support in Mumbai. And that would be fine if you didnt need it- but this model does not have wifi which means it does not have ThinQ which means you have to register manually which means you get no extended warranty unless you speak hindi and have 4 hours of your life per day to waste on the telephone to effectively accomplish nothing. In short its better to get the wifi version if you want to have a warranty and never interact with pigeon English half-wits. I can only imagine how bad itll be if it ever breaks under LGs warranty. On the bright side the EXTENDED warranty is handled by Asurion which has American customer support- unlike LGs slave colonies. And they respond quickly and appropriately. Issues solved in 10 minutes or less.

I have had this washer for 2 years and for the past year I have been doing all the things recommended but to no avail I have streaks on my clothes constantly of a sludge that streaks my clothes. We have cleaned the washer weekly with white vinegar or with washer cleaners or even bleach soaks but the next wash cycle still gives me streaks on my clothing. I then turn to hand washing and hanging to dry. I am assuming it is mold of some kind as my skin itches. Also without an agitator it just seems to stir the clothes. I hang dry most of my clothes. I thought I would like the size without the agitator but I think the only way to go is the good old fashioned agitator. Our dryer takes 2-3 cycles to completely dry. My whirlpool was better. I finally saved up enough to buy a new washer and will not get an LG.

I ordered this washing machine to replace an old one that was on its last legs. It was very nice looking but poorly designed as neither I nor my 64 husband could reach clothes in the bottom of the tub. on top of that the machine was a lemon and didnt agitate so I was unable to wash clothes at home for over a month since it was weeks until a repairman came and couldnt fix it and weeks until a new set arrived. The delivery was also a disaster because the truck got stuck at the bottom of the driveway driver error for 3 hours.

It advertised the thin Q diagnostic tool we never got it to work so it is more of a gimmick than a valuable tool customer service is no help you have to download the manuals which dont actually or adequately describe the true operation. Totally Angry and Disappointed

On June 24 2024 we purchased a WT 7155 CW washing machine at Lowes. It was delivered on June 28. On July 12 we found that there was a leak underneath the machine leaving a large puddle on the floor after the wash cycle. We had to dry out the laundry room so as to prevent mold. On July 13 I contacted LG Customer Care to request warranty service. We had our first service call on June 24. The leak could not be located. Later that day I discovered the leak was from the fill valve. We are now awaiting the service company to come and install a new fill valve. I have just been advised that the service company cannot be here until August 5th. As of the August 5th date we will have been without the washing machine for 24 days. I have been in repeated contact with LG Customer Service an LG Presidential Liaison and the president of LG USA. We were hoping to get this machine exchanged but that is not to be. In the meantime we are sitting here waiting and hoping to get this machine repaired. A side note: Im 82 and my wife is 81 and it is very inconvenient physically taxing and expensive having to go to the laundromat twice a week. As far as machine operation my wife who does the laundry is VERY dissatisfied. She says that not enough water comes into the machine to even cover the clothes. She has watched an entire wash cycle and has seen that parts of the load never get submerged in the water. She has also noticed that even less water comes in during the rinse cycle. Using the Deep Fill function fills the entire tub. So much for water conservation. All in all were very disappointed with this machine and very very angry and disappointed with LG as a whole. PS: Will I get entered in the $500 lottery? I doubt that anyone will actually read this review except those that will see it on Google Reviews.

Should have lasted longer

2 years out and already waiting on a repair which is its own nightmare. The company LG contracted out is the worst company I have had to deal with and am STILL waiting for the part to be replaced which means we are still without a machine. If this machine would have been built to last more than 2 years before breaking I wouldnt be in this mess. LG quality seems to have greatly declined. The washer has had issues for a few months with erroring out and then trying to keep refilling the tub instead of completing the wash cycle. In those instances I would have to turn off the washer let it drain and then start it over. Recently the machine doesnt recognize when it has enough water and just keeps filling the tub risking overflowing. Before I could stop it and turn it back on to finish the cycle but finally it broke enough to not go past the filling stage. Also water would constantly drip into the tub when not in use. I expected this machine to last much longer before being so broken. We used it as directed no overloading no non-clothing items. I chalk this up to planned obsolescence.

Been using new washer for a couple of months and so far we like it. On normal wash it doesnt use nearly as much water as our old washer but if we want more we just use the Deep Fill option or Deep Wash cycle. I also like the option to select extra rinse if needed. Seems like a good quality machine hope it will last a long time.

2 inlet valves faulty in 5 months

A piece of garbage. The water valve went bad after 2 months. A tech replaced it and the 2nd water valve went bad after another 2 months. I called to have a 3rd valve ordered. The tech said he would order one and I never heard from him again. A horrible loud noise the entire machine vibrates when the valve kicks in to fill the drum. Takes over 30 mins to just to fill the washer. Constantly stops/starts filling and drum spins all BEFORE the cycle even starts I did my research on class action lawsuits and found out that theres four models that are not limited to the four models in the lawsuit so you can add this one to it. The valves go bad and causes water hammering. The problem goes back for YEARS regarding this issue. There was finally a class action lawsuit put out against them because of the internal valves and apparently they are still manufacturing their machines with these defective valves because the problem is still going on. Ive never experienced anything so horrible in my life. I will never own another LG product again.

Im very impressed with my LG washer and dryer. On the washer if you select DEEP WASH and DEEP FILL you will get a full tub of water and a nice clean wash. Love how fast the Dryer is 45 min. to dry a load.

I LOVE this machine so far I did extensive research before purchasing. I was leary about some of the negative reviews about the machine water levels not being efficient or clothes getting so tangled in the agitator and being wrinkled. If you dont overload it dont leave your clothes in there all day and dont mess with the presets too much everything is fine Water levels are just enough. The tub is big enough to fit my whole house in I also had a slight hiccup when the machine showed up. Instructions werent quite clear about doing the calibration and inital set up. So I got on their tech chat line and they had me up and running in no time It was so easy I hope it lasts 20 years like my Maytag If it crashes out early Ill come back and let you know. I like the little chime that tells you the cycle is done It is a bit taller and wider than my old one but it still fit in the spot so no problem

I did extensive research before buying my new washer. I was leary about some of the reviews about this machine not putting enough water in Wrinkled clothes wrapped around the agitator ect. If you dont over load the machine pull your clothes out after they are done instead of leaving them in there for the day and dont change the settings on presets too much you shouldnt have ANY problems. Water levels are just enough I LOVE this machine so far Ill update if it crashes out prematurely but Im hoping it lasts as long as my Maytag that lasted me 20 years Love the little chime that reminds you its done too It is a little taller and wider than my old ones but man I could fit my whole house in the tub

Purchased and waited a while for it to be delivered. Invested a long time in selecting so I didnt mind the wait as my 20+ year old version was still rustilly chugging along. When I purchase an advanced machine with turbo agitation etc I would expect that it comes with the basics like a soak cycle to allow me to soak my white linens n things. I thought I was not understanding the machine as it would auto empty all the water detergent and bleach. Finally called K customer service to be informed that there is NO soak function. REALLY LG. To make matters worse the programming prevents selection of quick wash using hot water. If I select hot water wash again the programming opens cold water inlet while filling for wash cycle. To get the enough water to allow clothes to flow freely in water and not be bunched like a cramped train during rush hour I have to trick the machine by adding a bucket of water to the load. Otherwise I notice fuzz on the inside of my dark yoga pants. My opinion too much programming . Its my machine Im the boss of it. If I want to soak my clothes foan 2 hours I should If I wast to was in HOT water I should. If I dont want my clothes washing for 59 minutes but want a quick wash in Hot water.I should get to decide NOT THE MACHINE. Not to be a total downer love the capacity

Early days as weve only had this washing machine for a couple of weeks but it has far exceeded our expectations. Super-efficient very quiet and it NEVER get off-balance due to the direct drive motor. KUDOS LG

Ive had the machine for about 2 months or so I start to hear in the spin cycle a medal to medal noise I shouldnt hear Im not sure why. Its a new machine. Does this mean the machine will break down little by little and Ill need a repair person. Or replace it with another one? I was hoping for better results. Please tell me what can beu done. Thank You

This is my 2nd LG washer. I love the efficiency and ease of it. Personally I prefer less bells and whistles and this machine fits the bill. I also went back to an agitator in the middle so my clothes would get clean. AND THEN the icing on the cake is that I can actually FILL THE MACHINE WITH WATER instead of the low water machines that do not clean your clothes. WIN WIN WIN
